Houston, We Have a Problem...

We finished our chapter on Saturn today.  I have to say that I'm  learning a lot about the solar system along side the kids with this course.  It's fun stuff.

I usually save the experiment for the last day of the unit.  So today we headed outside to try out our alka-seltzer propelled rocket.

Here's what happened on our first attempt:

So we tried again.

Bummer. But hey, we were ready for anything with our official eye protection!

The Good News:
On our third try it worked!!  It was awesome! It went up on our roof and bounced back down to us and it was FAST.

The Bad News:
I don't have a video of that.  Oh well.
