Take a Hike!

It's true that the rain in the pacific northwest can drive you a little crazy because we get so much of it. But gorgeous days like the one we had today almost make it worth it!

It was 78 degrees today with blue skies and sunshine.  NO way could we stay inside for school today. Perfect day for a hike!  Here's a little photo essay of our day.

I think this is one of the only hikes I know of where you actually go downhill to get to your destination.

Baby came with in the Tula.

Wish I had been able to get a photo of the lovely humming bird we saw at this bush, and the giant blue and black butterfly that swooped in afterward!

At the end of the trail you have to pass under the railroad tracks to get to the beach. It's usually flooded but there is a plank to walk on.  Flip flops advised at this point!

This is my kind of day at the beach!

A couple of really big, really loud trains went by!

They've got the whole world in their hands.

These guys spent a lot of time making a mansion for their little shrimp creature they found.

Skipping rocks

More friends showed up to enjoy the sun with us!

Holding hands with a friend always makes the hike more fun!

What a great day it was!
